2022 Governor’s Award
The California State Treasurer, Fiona Ma, presented the Certificate of Recognition to the River of Life Church on Sunday, May 1, 2022. We were commended for humanitarian efforts through our Food Pantry, Operations Care, orphanages in Africa, and children’s education in Southeast Asia.
Governor Gavin Newsom recognized River of Life Church and Foundation for our service to our community in response to COVID-19.
2021 Citywide COVID-19 Hero of the Year Award
The State of the City was presented to the community on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. as a virtual online event.
Mayor Lisa M. Gillmor presented her State of the City address. During the event, the City Council recognized members of the community from each Council District by presenting COVID-19 Hero of the Year awards and the Mayor presents the Citywide COVID-19 Hero of the Year award (That’s us!).
2021 Austen Warburton Community Service Award
Greater Giving Local Focus charity event was hosted virtually on Thursday, October 21 starting online at 5:00 p.m. Mission City Community Fund presented the 2021 Austen Warburton Community Service Award to the River of Life Christian Church and Foundation for expanding programs to cater to all the needs in and around our community during the COVID pandemic and beyond.
